Des vêtements légers de couleur clair de préférence en coton ou anti transpirant sont les bienvenus. Un vêtement type polaire est à mettre dans votre valise pour le soir et le matin. De même, suivant la saison, une doudoune légère. Des chaussures confortables durant le safari et une paire de tongs pour circuler dans la chambre et la salle d’eau. Un chapeau, un chèche ou foulard pour se protéger du vent, du soleil et faire fuir les mouches, ne pas oublier la crème solaire. Une paire de jumelles et appareil photo sont recommandés pour garder des souvenirs.

Light, light-coloured clothing, preferably cotton or antiperspirant, is welcome. A fleece-type garment is to be put in your suitcase for the evening and the morning. Similarly, depending on the season, a light down jacket. Comfortable shoes during the safari and a pair of flip-flops to circulate in the bedroom and the bathroom. A hat, a cheche or scarf to protect yourself from the wind, the sun and scare away the flies, don’t forget the sunscreen. A pair of binoculars and camera are recommended for keeping memories.

Lors de votre vol international pensez à prendre avec vous en cabine, vos médicaments et ordonnance, un change (sous-vêtements, t-shirt, chaussettes), une petite trousse de toilette et votre attestation d’assurance d’assistance médicale et de rapatriement sanitaire. Le sac de voyage doit être – de 15 kg, espace limité dans le véhicule et pour la réglementation de certains vols intérieurs. Un petit sac à dos pour la journée pour vos effets personnels. Avoir le visa d’entrée en Tanzanie avant son départ réduit votre temps d’attente pour sortir de l’aéroport (pensez au stylo pour remplir la fiche de circulation). Nous vous recommandons pour Zanzibar de vous munir d’une prise anti-moustiques.

During your international flight remember to take with you in the cabin, your medication and prescription, a change (underwear, t-shirt, socks), a small toiletry bag and your certificate of medical assistance and repatriation insurance sanitary. The travel bag must be – 15 kg, limited space in the vehicle and for the regulation of certain domestic flights. A small backpack for the day for your personal effects. Having the entry visa to Tanzania before departure reduces your waiting time to leave the airport (think of the pen to fill in the traffic card). We recommend that for Zanzibar you bring a mosquito repellent plug.

A votre arrivée aux aéroports, vous avez la possibilité d’obtenir le visa (50 USD nécessaire) ou d’en faire la demande en ligne avant votre départ auprès de l’Ambassade de Tanzanie (https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa). Une fiche de circulation est à compléter sur place à l’aéroport même si vous avez votre visa délivré par l’Ambassade.

All visitors entering Tanzania must have their return ticket, a passport valid for another six months on the date of entry and a visa. Upon arrival at the airports, you have the option of obtaining the visa (50 USD required) or applying for it online before your departure at the Embassy of Tanzania (https://eservices.immigration.go. tax/visa). A circulation form must be completed on site at the airport even if you have your visa issued by the Embassy.

La Tanzanie a un seul fuseau horaire. L’heure d’été en France = +1h en Tanzanie, l’heure d’hiver en France = +2 h en Tanzanie.

Tanzania has only one time zone. Summer time in France = +1h in Tanzania, winter time in France = +2h in Tanzania.

Pour préserver l’environnement, le gouvernement a interdit l’importation de sacs en plastique. Utilisez des sacs en tissu, seule la trousse de toilette pour le vol est autorisée.

Être à jour de ses vaccins BCG –DT Polio est préférable. Le vaccin de la fièvre jaune attestée par le carnet de vaccination international permet d’éviter des problèmes administratifs à l’aéroport (preuve exigée de manière indistincte) mais ne constitue pas une obligation légale sauf pour Zanzibar et les ressortissants de pays infestés par le choléra ou pour les personnes qui ont transité par ses pays. N’oubliez pas de vous munir de votre traitement contre le paludisme (= malaria) et de vos répulsifs anti-moustiques (corps et vêtements). L’assurance d’assistance médicale et de rapatriement sanitaire est indispensable, vérifier auprès de votre compagnie d’assurance votre contrat de couverture.

Being up to date with your BCG-DT Polio vaccines is preferable. The yellow fever vaccine attested by the international vaccination card avoids administrative problems at the airport (proof required indiscriminately) but is not a legal obligation except for Zanzibar and nationals of countries infested with cholera or for people who have transited through its countries. Do not forget to bring your treatment against malaria (= malaria) and your mosquito repellents (body and clothes). Medical assistance and medical repatriation insurance is essential, check with your insurance company for your coverage contract.

L’unité du pays est le shilling tanzanien. Le change se fait dans le pays, voir avec le guide mais il est interdit de repartir avec des shillings. Le dollar américain est très utilisé (date d’émission inférieure à 5 ans impérativement). L’euro fait une percée mais dans une moindre ampleur.

The unit of the country is the Tanzanian shilling. The exchange is done in the country, see with the guide but it is forbidden to leave with shillings. The US dollar is widely used (date of issue imperatively less than 5 years). The euro made a breakthrough, but to a lesser extent.

La langue nationale est le kiswahili mais l’anglais est largement pratiqué.

The national language is Kiswahili but English is widely spoken.

Les chambres sont équipées de prises électriques. Le 4×4, lui aussi, a des prises pour permettre le rechargement du matériel. N’oubliez pas l’adaptateur à 3 fiches (220-230 volts). Le réseau wifi est souvent localisé à la réception des hébergements notamment en pleine savane.

The rooms are equipped with electrical outlets. The 4×4, too, has sockets to allow recharging of equipment. Do not forget the 3 plug adapter (220-230 volts). The wifi network is often located at the reception of accommodation, especially in the middle of the savannah.
